White Tiger

Pygmy Hippos

Seals
Seals, biologically known as Pinnipeds are one of the widely distributed and fin footed marine animals. They do not have external ears and are more aquatically well adapted. There are more than 30 different species of seals. They are primarily carnivores and mostly known to feed on fishes. They are very playful in nature and mostly used by the zoo administration to attract crowds. They can be easily trained and are often made to perform tricks. They attract children because of their playful nature. They generally live for around 20 years. There are many varieties of seals among which elephant seal is the largest.
Elephants
Elephants are huge and are obviously one of the most noticeable animals in any zoo. They are basically of two types– African elephant and the Asian elephant. They are valued for their strength and size. Sometimes they roll on mud which makes it very interesting for the children to watch and enjoy. They roll on the mud because they want some layers of earth on their body to protect their skin from insect bites and sun burns. They are generally very friendly except for a few rogues. They generally take dips in water and playfully shower each other. They can move both forward and backward but they cannot jump. The front and the hind limbs support their weight although 60% is borne by the front. They have a very rough screen and considerably thinner skin inside their ear. The tusks are nothing but the incisors in the upper jaw. They are either right tusked or left tusked.
