    Mykonos Cooking Class

    Touring is exciting, especially if it’s your first time in a country and a Greek cooking class in the city of Mykonos is one of the best things to do while visiting. It is usually fun, informative, filled with great new recipes and a lot of wine! These classes usually start around 10 am in the morning till about 3 pm in the afternoon.

    Whether or not you’re a foodie or crazy about trying new things, a Mykonos cooking class is highly recommended. In as much as there are several activities to partake in, make sure this is on your list, it’s definitely worth it.

    Mykonos Folklore Museum

It is divided into three parts as its main museum is located in the 18th century House of Kastro, which is in Chora. The Cycladic costumes, historical paintings as well as traditional musical instruments and old photographs of this beautiful island are found in this building.

    There also is the Agricultural Museum. It is located close to the windmills of the island and offers tourists all the information they need to know about the history of farming in Mykonos. It houses the outdoor ovens, a wine press, as well as a waterwheel which enables tourists to have a feel of the island in its earliest days. The best thing here is that admission is free.

    The Paraportiani Church

    Mykonians are known for their religion, which is Christianity. It is said that the city of Mykonos has 365 churches and each on represents a day of the year. The Paraportiani church (Panagia Paraportiani) is the most famous in all of Mykonos. The best time to visit this beautiful building is just at sunset when the light changes. The beautiful Mediterranean sea can also be viewed from the main entrance. Visiting the Paraportiani Church is free.
