Here are some of the best road trip options on each continent.

    • The Red Centre Way

Imagine the most stereotypical movie version of a road trip that you can possibly take. The road trip over The Red Centre Way is best experienced over the span of five days. You will get to see and enjoy its red earth, fresh swimming holes, and interesting isolated rocks. The best spots to see are Kata Tuja, Uluru, Kings Canyon, and the magical West MacDonnell Ranges. If you can take a quick stop and get out of your car you can take a hike up the Kings Canyon. From the top of it, you can see the whole Watarrka National Park or go and explore the Finke Gorge National Park which is the only place where you will be able to see the red cabbage palm.

    • The Big Lap

If you want to go all in and have a full road trip experience there is no better place than the Big Lap, which is the drive around the perimeter of the entire country. And it is 9,300 miles long. This massive adventure will approximately take six months if it’s done properly. You will follow Highway One that goes around Australia, Going through all the seven amazing national capitals. This is the ultimate road trip to complete.

    • Verdon Gorge circuit, France

Provence is known to be the most charming region of France. So taking a road trip through France is the way to go. There are so many scenic places that you will see during your drive, but you can also stop and shop at little market towns for some snacks along the way. You will drive on some rustic roads through amazing villages like Tourtour. After that, you will get to see the Verdon gorges which are the European version of the Grand Canyon. There are drops of over 2,000ft that go directly down and that is where you will experience the most exciting driving.

    • Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, Austria

First things first, most people don’t know that in Europe most cars are manual. But, if you are into sports cars then this is the road trip for you. But before you commit, it’s a good idea to take manual driving lessons just so you get the hang of it before your long trip. While you are heading to the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse you will pass the luscious Hohe Tauern National Park. You will have the view of 37 mountains and a series of 36 exhilarating hairpin bends, where a car like a Ferrari F40 comes in handy if you are renting. There will be so many magical landscapes, rocky cliffs, green meadows, glaciers and the mountain peaks of the Alps.

    • Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, Vietnam

This is where you can experience 134-miles of amazing mountain scenery, golden beaches with breathtaking views of the sea. North America

    • Overseas Highway, Florida Keys

This road trip adventure starts in Miami and then takes Route 1 that goes all the way down to Key West. This is about a 150-mile journey and it is a pretty laid-back trip. There are a lot of stops that you can take like the myriad beaches. South America

    • Chile’s Austral

    • Namibia

Namibia has all the animal galore and the Kalahari Desert. Namibia is practically made to be explored by a car. The roads are flat and straight so you can really feel like you are cruising down the road. The only bad thing that you have to be careful about, is that you have to have enough gas, all the spare parts that you can possibly need and a lot of food and water. That is because Namibia is one of the lowest populated places in the world. Therefore if something happened help will take a couple of hours to get to you.

    • Udzungwa National Park

This amazing national park is known for its breathtaking landscapes and animals. But for this road trip adventure requires you to have an off-road car which can be found there without a problem. You will get to experience the breathtaking landscapes and interesting wildlife and scenery. The main attraction of this road trip will be the Sanje Waterfalls where you can take a break and swim in the clear waters.

Taking a road trip will allow you to be free and explore some of the natural wonders. Driving through amazing places is a great way to clear your head and find yourself. And the big bonus is that you will get to enjoy some of the local festivals, farmers’ markets, and amazing state parks.
