Going away can be stressful and the last thing you want to do is to forget something important. This article will give you some tips on important things that you should remember before you go away on you ski trip with school.

When you are going away, it is important that you don’t overlook anything important, as while you’re away, it may not be possible for you to get the things that you need. Ski destinations are often quite isolated, so you will only be able to buy things that are available on the resort. If you forget anything large and have to replace it, this could significantly eat into whatever money you have brought with you.

    Clothing.
It is essential that you take the right clothing with you on your ski trip. It is going to be cold, so you have to dress properly. Each day, you will need to wear a base layer, such as thermal underwear; a mid layer, such as jumpers and trousers; and an insulating layer, such as a fleece. You will also need a warm ski jacket. It is best that you buy one specifically designed for skiing or for cold climates.

    Accessories.
You will need to take ski accessories with you on your trip, although in some cases, you might hire some of these accessories when you get there. If in doubt, check with your school for more details of what you need to bring. The kinds of accessories that you might need include goggles, a helmet, ski gloves, a scarf or neck warmer and a hat.

    Medicines.

If you are on any medication, you should make sure you remember to bring this with you. Depending on your school’s policies, this medication may be given to a member of staff to look after, so check before you leave. You may also want to bring extra, just in case it gets lost while you’re on the slopes. You should also check whether or not you need any documentation from your doctor in order to travel with your medication, so that you don’t have problems at the border.

    Miscellaneous Items.
There are a few other things that you should ensure you do not forget. Most importantly, your passport. Imagine getting to the airport or the ferry and then realising that you’ve forgotten your passport. This could cause delays for the rest of your group, not just you and you wouldn’t want to put everyone out. You should also ensure that you have any necessary spending money with you. Schools often give a limit to the amount you can take with you, so make sure you don’t take more than you’re allowed.

There are a lot of things to remember before you go away and it can seem overwhelming. The main thing is to stay calm. Write yourself a list, if it will help and then you can check off what you have and you haven’t done. Relax and try not to worry, as you are bound to have an amazing time on your school ski trip.
