Well then, take note of these safety tips.

Stash documents. Bring copies (back yourself up with digital copies too) of your passport and other valid IDs so you will not have to bring the originals everytime. Then, exchange copies with your travel buddies. Meanwhile, keep the originals locked on a safe if there’s one offered where you are staying. Or, coordinate with the front desk personnel to keep them for you. In case you are asked to present IDs, take out the copies first.

Save yourself some cash. Not all places have ATM machines. And even if there is, the charge is sometimes too high to let pass. The same is true with credit cards. Not all establishments accept credit cards. And as you may have already heard, some credit card companies block transactions on suspicious places. That said, make sure to advise your bank about your trip. Take note as well of emergency contact details.

Bring cash with you and ensure to place it in separate areas. Put some on your pocket so would not have to open your bag and expose your valuables all the time.

Share anything but money to beggars. Instead of money, give them food. Reaching for your wallet in a crowded place can be dangerous. You never know the dangers lurking around.

Secure backpacks. Backpacks have always been an attractive theft target. Do not risk inconvenience. Invest on locks. Another strategy is to wear your bag in front.

Stay vigilant. Pick a strategic accommodation so you will not have a hard time traveling to and fro. Stay in groups or at least go in buddies. This is as well beneficial in reducing expenses.

Stock up on medication. Do not forget your medicines. Even when there are drug stores at your destination, still, you might encounter troubles purchasing. Communication barriers exist. Add to that that medicine names may vary from one place to another.

Skip bringing costly items. Unless you have an essay writing service output due ASAP, forget about bringing your computer with you.

Postpone as well posting photos until you come back home. A simple mobile phone with call and text feature is enough to keep you connected to your loved ones. Expensive phones are only eye candies for thieves. In the same vein, forget about wearing costly jewelries. It’s never necessary.

Worrying too much about your belongings will only sap the fun out of your trip. You’re backpacking in the first place. You cannot be too high-maintenance.
