    Things to Do

    Step 1

A proper planning is a must in the first place. Without that the entire trip might go awry. You should keep a plan or a guide book in handy and chalk out a plan in order to make sure that you have the best of idea about where you are heading for.

    Step 2

Once you have chalked out a plan try to get it checked by someone who has a good experience in travelling or have travelled that place before. That way you will be able to make the necessary changes to your plan before you start off.

    Step 3

Register with your state tourism office. It is very important that you do this, as it will help in keeping a record and might come in useful in the future. You will also be able to get help promptly in case you need it. However if you do not register with the tourism office then you might not receive any help or may be the help might get delayed if you need it.

    Things to Follow

There are certain things that must be followed while travelling to a distant place or a foreign land. These are as follows:

    1. Carry a kit of medicines – Make sure that you carry a kit of medicine. Water is one of the potent threats while travelling. It might induce diarrhea and other kinds of diseases that might wreck your trip. So carry antibiotics and anti-diarrhea tablets.  You should also carry band-aids, gauge and fresh cotton. So that you can take immediate care to any cuts or injuries. Such trivial injuries might well lead to infections and make you suffer big time. So nipping such things in the bud will avert any big issues.
    2. Keep a pepper spray handy – Keeping a pepper spray handy will also help you to stay safe from unwanted situations. You should always keep something that can act as a weapon and help you to resist any attack.
    3. Get travel insurance – Travel insurance is a must while you are travelling. That will cover you against plausible threats such as injuries, accidents, thefts and other such incidents. However you need to make sure that you get it from a reliable source.

These are some of the important aspects that should be borne in mind by women who are planning a trip alone. As stated earlier one they should make a good research on the place and its culture before starting off with the trip.
