The beach here is a peninsula that has the open sea to the front and a beautiful lagoon to the rear. Finally, a resort that is one of the finest that you will ever find would have to be Dalyan. How many holiday destinations can offer loggerhead sea turtles, natural mud baths, ancient ruins and 2000 year old rock tombs? Probably just this one as they are all here with a great beach and lovely setting thrown in too. The beach is a protected area as it is where the turtles like to breed and is often known as turtle beach. You approach it via the river on, well priced, traditional river craft. But before you get to the beach you might like to stop on the way to see the fabulous roman ruins and bathe in the hot springs, where you can give yourself a mud bath. Look up into the cliff faces and you will see the ancient rock tombs and then spend the rest of the day lazing on the unforgettable beach.
