    Best Turkey Summer Destinations

Turkey is a country that has a lot to offer the summer traveler. There are great beaches, wonderful cuisine, exciting nightlife and culture and history at every turn. Hotels tend to be of a good quality and the service is as good as anywhere in the world. The prices are reasonable and the Turkish people are as friendly and helpful as I have ever known. So when you are considering a destination for your next summer holiday, why not give one of these a try.

Turkey (or what the Danes call Tyrkiet rejser) has a very warm and sunny summer and temperatures are always fantastic. With weather like this you are going to want to visit the beach and there are few better beaches anywhere in the world than at the resort of Oludeniz. The beach here is a peninsula that has the open sea to the front and a beautiful lagoon to the rear. It is surrounded by wooded mountains and you will be forgiven for thinking that you have arrived in paradise. The resort itself is picturesque and friendly although it can be uncomfortably warm at night. Therefore, you might like to stay in the nearby resort of Hisaranu which is located a short distance above the beach and is therefore often a bit cooler.

Another destination that boasts an excellent beach is the resort of Alanya. However, visitors here will have the best of everything as the town can be split into two sections. There is the busy and bustling town center, with its fantastic shops, fine hotels and restaurants, modern harbor and fun nightlife. Then there is the quieter and more relaxed atmosphere of the beach area, where the hotels tend to be smaller and more intimate. As a holiday destination Alanya is perfect for just about anybody as families will enjoy the Blue Flagged beaches and couples will love the fine cuisine. For a Turkish beach resort the town is incredibly green with vast lawns and flowering plant pots all around. This is a very popular holiday destination for people from around the world, which speaks volumes for the quality of vacation it offers.

Finally, a resort that is one of the finest that you will ever find would have to be Dalyan. How many holiday destinations can offer loggerhead sea turtles, natural mud baths, ancient ruins and 2000 year old rock tombs? Probably just this one as they are all here with a great beach and lovely setting thrown in too. The beach is a protected area as it is where the turtles like to breed and is often known as turtle beach. You approach it via the river on, well priced, traditional river craft. But before you get to the beach you might like to stop on the way to see the fabulous roman ruins and bathe in the hot springs, where you can give yourself a mud bath. Look up into the cliff faces and you will see the ancient rock tombs and then spend the rest of the day lazing on the unforgettable beach.

So there are just three of the many truly brilliant destinations that Turkey has to offer, and what an offer they are because Turkey is cheap to get to and cheap when you are there. That is why so many people choose it as their summer holiday destination.
