    Easter Camping Trip

The Easter holidays are approaching, but there is no need for cabin-feverish kids and frazzled parents just because a holiday abroad isn’t on the cards. With the weather warming up, it is a great time to go on a camping trip.

Of course however, the equipment required for a camping trip requires more space than the average family car can hold. This is especially true if you want to bring any extra gear for sporting activities such as canoeing or mountain biking. Once you’ve packed the saloon with children, travel snacks and suitcases there’s no space for sports gear, tents, cooking utensils, and anything else the family might need while away. What’s the solution then? Leave equipment at home and hire it at an extortionate price? Leave the teen at home? Cram it all in and listen to dead leg and stiff neck complaints for the duration of the journey? Fork out for an expensive van?

The pain-free and sensible solution is to carry your family load in a utility trailer. The Daxara Buddy 1 trailer (250kgs) from Indespension is compact but big enough to hold all your camping gear or perishable food items, leaving room in the car for legs and games-console playing. Using a trailer for outdoor equipment also means you don’t need to get your car muddy on the way back. For something a bit bigger, look to the Buddy 2 (holds 323kgs) or the Dakara 148 (600kgs). Both are lightweight yet sturdy, and perfect for transporting larger sporting equipment like bikes or kayaks. A flat cover is included with all these trailers, as well as mudguards to keep your contents safe and dry. Coupling locks mean you can transport valuable items safely without the threat of theft.

Have a look at Indespension’s website for a wide selection of utility and camping trailers at affordable prices. If you are still not sure it is an investment you want to make, they also have trailers to hire from over 20 depots in the UK. Hiring a trailer for your camping holiday is still much cheaper than renting a van, and means you can tow your belongings without having to drive an unfamiliar vehicle.
