    1. Cannon Beach, Oregon

Cannon Beach is a seven mile stretch of beach that is breathtaking. Tall rocks out in the ocean rise up amid the waves. The waves come in quite powerfully and crash against the rocks, making for a lovely scene. You can have a picnic on the beach, or play Frisbee or just walk along the sand. One can often get a glimpse of a seal or a killer whale. There are also many bed and breakfasts and hotels along the route with amazing views.

    2. Venice Beach, California

Venice Beach is the perfect place for people watching. Located along the Los Angeles shoreline, it is quite an unusual sight for the Canadian traveller. People are dressed up in funny costumes and riding bicycles, roller blading, skateboarding or riding a unicycle. It is quite entertaining to see the different characters along the walkway. There are street performers, body builders working out and several vendors. Many restaurants and bars offer a chance to rest and get out of the sun and observe the live circus.

    3. Naples, Florida

This is the perfect beach for a quiet, relaxing getaway for the traveler from Canada. Naples is a small, affluent resort town. There are many five star hotels to choose from. 5. Waikiki Beach, Hawaii

This world famous beach is located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The waters of this beach are calm and are perfect for snorkeling or learning to surf. The beach is usually crowded and people watching is another enjoyable activity. This is a great place for the Canadian traveller to get a taste of the typical American beach experience.

    6. Ocracoke Island, North Carolina

Besides being a beautiful place to sunbathe, this beach is full of history. The oldest lighthouse on the East Coast is located here. This beach is also where the pirate Blackbeard met his demise. Wilbur and Orville Wright also made their first airplane flight here.

    7. Miami Beach, Florida

If you are a Canadian Traveller who enjoys the party scene, this beach is for you. Besides being a beautiful place to enjoy the sun and the beautiful bodies, the city of Miami is a non-stop party. The city is full of popular nightclubs, restaurants and bars.
