They all come from different places and have different personalities. They have different survival instincts that not even they knew about, until they were thrown to the wild at some of the harshest places on Earth. They have different names, different jobs, different circumstances. They are hundreds of miles apart, but they have one purpose—to get back home.
Welcome to “Dropped”, the newest reality show from Heineken that picks men from their regular lives and drops them at places they haven’t imagined in their wildest dreams. Each man is given bare minimum supplies and a plane ticket to fly him back home, except there’s no airport for hundreds of miles around. Alone and marooned, each traveler has to beat the odds to emerge as a hero.
Each episode of Dropped will feature new surprises and thrills. As the world watches, men will compete against the forces of nature to get back to the comfort of their homes. They will brave storms, cross rivers, or scale snow-covered mountains. They will encounter wild animals, suffer hardships, and race against each other amidst the toughest terrains known to mankind. It’s each man for himself, fighting against the wild apart from fighting his own fears.
For the viewers, Dropped is set to be a captivating experience. Heineken® is turning it into a social experiment of sorts. Viewers will be able to track each traveler by following Dropped on Heineken’s social media channels, which will be updated with real-time news and footage about the men in the wild.
For those who just can’t get enough of the thrill, Heineken® has made some special arrangements. Enter Heineken® Dropped YouTube channel, where adventures of each traveler will be uploaded. Here, you can watch what your heroes have been up to and feel what they have been going through. The channel will feature ‘Dropped’ voyages, documentary-style videos, social interactions, and a “casting couch”, where you can upload your own videos and win a chance of getting “Dropped”.
Will the travellers make it back? Will they give up? I guess we’ll know only as the adventures unfold; but one thing is for sure. This fall, from the wild, heroes will rise.
