    Glamorous Camping in Cornwall

Camping might seem like a ‘rough and ready’ activity that’s long on adventure and short on luxury and comfort, but times have changed. Many modern-day campsites in Cornwall, Devon and other parts of the UK and Europe have a number of facilities on site such as shower rooms, toilets, games rooms, cafes and even clubhouses and swimming pools, meaning that you’re not ‘slumming it’ when visiting a campsite. However, there are a growing number of campsites which offer even more by way of comfort and style, offering so-called ‘glamping’ holidays.

Shorthand for glamorous camping, glamping offers all the excitement and closeness to the great outdoors that you expect from normal, everyday camping holidays. However, it also comes with many of the home comforts that you might only expect to see in a hotel room. When you stay at a glamping site such as those seen on Pitchup.com, you can expect your ‘tent’ to come with its own electricity and hot water supply, bedding, furniture, a wood-burning stove and even its own cooking and cleaning facilities, making glamping seem perfect.

One of the best things about going on a glamping holiday is that, unlike normal camping holidays, you do not have to take as much with you. With cooking and cleaning facilities to be found inside your yurt, tipi, wigwam or luxurious camping pod, not to mention mattresses, you don’t have to take as much with you when driving all the way down to Cornwall. Also, you don’t have to worry about getting wet, as the structures used for glamping are safe, secure and can cope well in any weather

Glamping in Cornwall can be very exciting, as you’ll have so much to see and do on your doorstep. You could go walking, visit attractions such as the Eden Project and Land’s End, stroll through towns such as Truro, Falmouth and Penzance, go for a day at the seaside or perhaps do something more adventurous like surfing off the north Cornish coast. You won’t be short of things to do if you stay at a glamping site in the county, and once you’ve finished exploring for the day, you can rest in complete comfort.
