If someone is looking for a tropical getaway, then he or she does not have to look any further than Costa Rica. This small Latin country is just twelve degrees north of the equator, which gives it a tropical climate all year round. Tranquil water, breathtaking foliage and the wonders of nature is all at one’s fingertips in this peaceful land. Tourism is the main industry here and the locals treat everyone well. This is a Spanish speaking country, so it may be fun to brush up on the language to effectively communicate with the locals. Of course, many of them speak English, also.
This Central American Country is only 19,652 square feet. It sits in between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and has serene black and white sand beaches. This is a popular destination for snorkeling, diving and catching a wave. While in Costa Rica, there is a nonviolent atmosphere. The government dissolved the military in 1948 and to date they have not reinstated it. They say this adds to the social peace making Costa Rica a truly remarkable getaway.
There are several luxurious hotels in this country that offer spas and concierge services for everyone. If it an inspiring vista that is wanted, then look no further than Villa Caletas. This magnificent hotel is carved into the side of a hill overlooking the turquoise water. Each room is an individual villa that has a true sense of privacy. Famous for its infinity pool, this sunbathers’ paradise is a great way to de-stress. If a person is one who likes to pleasure the pallet with authentic cuisines, the Villa Caletas has a wonderful restaurant on site. The Mirador Restaurant serves both French and Central American style entrees and allows guests to eat on their own private terrace. How’s that for luxury?
Travel in style like the celebrities and stay at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. This location has not only two private beaches overlooking the Pacific, but also spa. Guests can melt cares away as a personal message therapist rubs away tension while overlooking the ocean. This hotel features a eighteen- hole golf course that was designed by gold pro, Arnold Palmer. The restaurant here is also magnificent. They serve Latin and Italian cuisine. Perhaps one of the great things about this resort is that guests may order gourmet meals to be brought to their rooms around the clock.
The hotel that gets the best reviews in the area is the Marriott Costa Rica Hotel. This is one of the newer hotels in the area and they knew how to make sure it was built to please. This hotel sits on a thirty- acre coffee farm. The grand exterior seems warm and inviting from the moment one enters the hotel. This location features the Kuo Spa, a golf driving range and concierge service for those who really want to be pampered.
