In this article I will be speaking about 5 interesting beaches that you should not miss during your visit to this island nation.

    Flic en Flac

Flic en Flac is one of the most popular beaches of Mauritius and obviously will also be one of the most crowded ones during the weekend. For this reason it might be recommended that you go there only during the week if you want to spend a quiet time there. Definitely recommended for those that want to relax themselves on the beach or enjoy some water sport.

    La Preneuse

La Preneuse is recommended for all those that are looking to enjoy a day with their family. Indeed the water there is quite shallow and will be ideal for children. However the place is quite inaccessible by public transport and you will have either to rent a car or book a taxi. Also you should make provision for your own food as there are very few food outlets available there.

Located in the North of the island, Pereybere is yet another beach that you will not want to miss if you are fond of swimming. However you need to be aware that this is another place that is very popular among the locals and should be better visited during the week. To the contrary of La Preneuse, there are a lot of restaurants there that will delight you with their wide variety of menus.

    Cap Malheureux

Another beach that is located in the Northern part of the island and should really delight you with the magnificent view on Ile Plate and Coin de Mire. The calm lagoon is definitely an invitation to swim that you will find difficult to resist. This is a place that you should certainly not miss during your stay on the island.

    Blue Bay

Located in the South Eastern part of the island, Blue Bay is also a wonderful beach that you will not want to miss during your stay on the island. Just as its name indicates, the sea there is a magnificent blue that will definitely please every swimmer out there. This is a place that is definitely recommended for people that are interested in water sport as well.
