Brighton may be well known for its beaches, seagulls and the Palace pier, but it can do luxury and there is a great selection of high quality luxurious hotels and guest houses.
If you’re looking to get away this winter from the craziness of Christmas, have a look at these five indulgent lodgings (All five accommodations are located within Brighton Town Centre).
Kemp Town House
This modern guest house is the only five star rated one in Brighton and with only nine rooms there is a relaxed and informal feel to the place. Another great offering from this hotel is that all breakfasts are complimentary and with pancakes and maple bacon on the menu, you can count me in. The guest house has been featured in a number of publications declaring its greatness The Guardian, Elle UK, The Independent, The Telegraph, and Conde Nast Traveller. With this flourish of people eager to verify this place as top level accommodation in Brighton, it’s hard to consider some of the larger hotels over the personal touch you get from Kemp Town House. Prices are at the higher end, with a Saturday night stay at £145 for a ‘Cosy Double’ room.
myhotel
This four star hotel is a modern cacophony of colour and whiteness against a backdrop of the creative North Laines and near the architecturally applauded Brighton Library. This mish-mash of a number of creative elements makes the hotel a delight to be inside and the quirky modern interior fits well in Brighton’s luxury hotel bracket. Even the Standard Double room (at £100 a night on weekdays) has a great layout, look and feel and is worth the money for a comfortable stay in a chic location. Well-suited to couples travelling to Brighton for a romantic weekend away or for chic hen parties looking for a little more style.
Hotel Pelirocco
This typical Brightonian hotel is full of hidden secrets and quirky features, as each room has a theme and corresponding interior design. Some of the most eye-catching ones are ‘Cloud Cuckoo Land’ which is a blue walled room with mirrors all around and an opulent blue and white patterned divan bed. ‘Modrophenia’ is another one which is based upon the well-known Mod movement born in Brighton with the bull’s eye motif on the bed linens and cushions. The theme of the hotel is fun and adventurous and if you’re looking for something different for your next weekend away this is the perfect place, double rooms start at £120.
Hotel Una
This hotel is rated as the number one Brighton Hotel on Trip Advisor and for a good reason too. With sunken tubs, saunas, huge beds and a mix of natural woods and soft furnishings, Hotel Una is a more traditionally luxurious hotel. It looks as any other house in the square that it is located, but once you step inside you are transported to the calmness and tranquillity of the Una. These lodgings are perfect for couples going on romantic weekends away and with rooms around the £140 mark it is a must for any special occasion.
