Traveling can be hard—so hard, sometimes it’s not worth the effort to get to the place, whether it’s for business or for pleasure. Let’s be honest; between the long lines, the delays, and the dreaded (gasp!) TSA pat downs, sometimes traveling can be rough. One way to make it easier is to make sure that you have the right travel accessories. These accessories will make your life easier and your trip more enjoyable.

    Gadgets:
Travel involves lots of waiting for something to happen, so you might as well as have something to do as you pass the time, whether it’s reading a novel on your Kindle, texting your loved ones, listening to some tunes on your MP3 player, or playing Angry Birds on your iPad. If you bring a camera, choose one that’s higher quality than a cell phone camera. Just make sure that you can store all your gadgets safely.

    Travel laundry kits:
You don’t know if the laundry services at your destination will be reliable, so it’s a great idea to bring one of these along on your trip. Plus, you’ll save money. The best kits include soap, a clothesline with suction cups so you can hang up your wet clothes in your hotel room, and a bag for your dirties.

    Safety items:
It’s important to keep yourself and your valuables safe. Fortunately, there are many items that can help you do just that. Simple things like a flashlight, a Swiss Army knife, a travel mosquito kit, a first aid kit, and even a personal locator beacon can both keep you safe and give you peace of mind as you travel. Do some research beforehand regarding the safety of where you’re going, and get tips about what to do in these areas. For example, is there a prevalence of pickpockets where you’re going? There are things you can do to keep you and your money safe, like using the travel money belt.

    Travel gear:
Make sure you bring with you the most comfortable and portable clothes. It is possible to bring clothes that are comfortable, easy to pack, and stylish. Hats are always a must, so make sure you bring a crushable hat, easy to pack but in style, no matter the place or season. Comfortable shoes are a must, since it’s likely that you’ll be walking a lot. Bring clothes that are wrinkle-resistant, or at least products that will un-wrinkle them with just a few sprays. Your luggage choices are crucial; you want bags that are sturdy yet easy to carry long distances.
