    5 Must-See Beach Vacations

Looking for a spectacular beach vacation? The world has many incredible beaches, with white sand, clear blue water, plenty to do and spectacular views. It’s hard to go wrong with so many paradises to choose from, but here’s a list that will have you rushing to get your passport fast!

    Australia

Cable Beach is one of the most popular destinations in Australia. That’s not surprising, given the endless white sand beach stretching along the clear, turquoise sea. The weather is warm year-round and the coastline is fringed with swaying palms, giving the place a distinctly tropical feel. Beach activities include tandem skydiving, parasailing, water skiing, jet skiing and surfing. Sunset camel rides create the sense of an exotic oasis. Cable Beach is located in remote Western Australia and is a bit difficult to access. Its distance from Australia’s major cities means flying in is the best way to get there.

    Hawaii

Hawaii has dozens of incredible beaches, but Kauno’oa Bay on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island may be the ultimate Hawaiian beach destination. The crescent-shaped beach surrounds a calm lagoon, with the swaying palms and clean white sand typical of Hawaiian beach paradises. In addition to swimming, sunning, and boogie boarding, there is good snorkeling along the coral reef.

    Tahiti

The beaches on the islands of French Polynesia, including Tahiti, are surrounded by coral reefs, which make the waters crystal-clear and very calm. The beaches on Tahiti have black volcanic sand, warm lagoons where the water gently breaks along the shore, and coconut palms to provide shade. One stand-out beach is La Plage de Maui, on the southern edge of the island. It is a beautiful beach with a calm lagoon for swimming and an excellent snack bar.

    Thailand

Thailand is known for its sumptuous, exotic beaches. One of the most popular is Koh Phi Phi, a tiny island off the coast of Phuket. Towering cliffs surround a protected cove of soft sand and clear water. It’s become crowded in recent years, as more people hear about this island paradise. Hiking, snorkeling and swimming are popular activities, and you can take scuba lessons on the island.

    Brazil

Rio de Janeiro has legendary beaches, and you are sure to find one that suits your taste. Just ask a carioca, or Rio native, where they like to go to the beach. Chances are they’ll say Ipanema Beach, which is always crowded with locals. Other excellent beaches in Rio include Arpoador for surfing and Copacabana for great bars and cafes along the beachfront.
