One of the most popular places to visit in the Broome area is the Broome Bird Observatory. This observatory is a large scientific and educational center located just outside the city on Roebuck Bay. The primary purpose of the observatory is conservation efforts related to shorebirds. The staff there also teaches courses on nature and even gives nature tours to the general public. There are also a lot of fantastic birdwatching opportunities for visitors. The city of Broome is an extremely popular destination for shorebirds, which is why the observatory is located there. Many people visit the Broome Bird Observatory, so it is often crowded. Because of this, it’s usually best to have an advanced booking there. Other interesting places to visit if one rents a car in Broome are Cable Beach, Horizontal Falls, and Gantheaume Point.

Cable Beach is known to be one of the most scenic and picturesque beaches in the world. The crystal clear water and white, sandy beaches attract people from all over the world. Cable Beach is an amazing place to spend a fun afternoon lying out in the sun. It’s also a great place to go swimming. A lot of families vacation in this part of Western Australia due to the great beauty of the area. At the southern tip of Cable Beach is the famous Gantheaume Point. This point has gorgeous red cliffs and is known for the large dinosaur footprints that can be seen there at low tides. These dinosaur footprints are 130 million-years-old. Because they can only be seen at low tides, molded casts of the footprints were created and put on display there for everyone to see throughout the day. Horizontal Falls is yet another nearby natural phenomenon. The falls are a tidal flow in Talbot Bay. Thousands of tourists visit this sight each and every year.

The city of Broome in Western Australia really is the ideal place to go on a holiday. Regardless of what one wants to do, everyone should be able to find something fun and interesting to do in the area. Not only are there a lot of entertainment opportunities there, the weather is also generally very good. This definitely helps add to the appeal of the touristy town. Everyone wants the weather to be good when they visit the beach. Because car hire prices are so good, everyone who travels to Broome should definitely rent a vehicle. Having the freedom to easily travel around the city will make the holiday experience more enjoyable.
