Resting further south, you can see Morro Jable and Costa Calma. Sporting a slightly elevated shoreline, Calma still retains the charms of its fishing village origins while the harbour offers fantastic views of Lanzarote and Los Lobos not to mention hosting a twice-weekly market, sun-drenched beaches and world class seafood.
Natural beauty
For those with an interest in volcanos, take a quiet drive inland through the hilly dunes of Parque Natural de las Dunas in Corralejo to discover why it’s one of the most amazing natural monuments in Fuerteventura.

Volcanic peaks rise from the island’s centre in the Parque Natural de Betancuria, presenting a stark almost lunar air. While to the eastern side rests the unique and mystifying limestone caves of Ajuy, which were once hotbeds for hiding places by pirates.
Family attractions
For those seeking something a little easier from their vacations, the legendary Baku waterpark has attractions for the whole family. Dad can relax on the 18-hole mini golf course, while Mum takes a dip in their whirlpool spa and the kids can take turns flying down the park’s big attraction “Kamikaze”; a death-defying water ride that never fails to appease.
