Enjoy a perfect summer break in the beautiful Abruzzo region of Italy

When work is stressing you out, when the routine of everyday life becomes frustrating, when all you can think about is getting away from it all, where is it that you dream of escaping to? Somewhere hot with plenty of long, white sandy beaches to choose from, stretching out into the distance? Somewhere where you can take in the stunning mountainous views from the window of your own private villa without having to move at all?

Or just somewhere where you can have some time off to relax, to refresh and to forget all of your worries?

If this sounds like paradise to you, think Italy. Think Abruzzo .

Abruzzo is a traditional Italian region, and local people might say it’s a typical example of “real Italy”. Being pretty much undiscovered by general tourists, you will experience a remarkable getaway break with the feeling that you’ve been invited to stay at an exclusive location.

Stretching from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, Abruzzo is situated in central Italy on the western border. With beautiful mountainous areas as well as long, sandy beaches, Abruzzo really does have something for everyone. A perfect summer setting.

The Adriatic coastline has stretches and stretches of sandy beaches to the north where you can take a long stroll and explore the gorgeous Abruzzo coastline area and beaches. Or if you prefer, you can enjoy basking in the hot, Mediterranean climate and catch a few glorious rays of sunshine to top up your glowing tan.

With many of the beaches in Abruzzo being Blue Flag beaches, you can be sure they will be clean and that your beach experience will be truly enjoyable. The local sealife is also protected by the Blue Flag standard. After spending the day in the sun and strolling along the beach, taking a dip in the crystal blue sea will be too tempting to resist!

So when is the best time to visit Abruzzo? It is important to be aware that the mountainous area in Abruzzo has a slightly lower temperature than the maritime area, but this will make more of a difference when visiting in the winter months. In the summer months, you can expect an average temperature on the coastline of around 24 degrees Celsius, rising to around 30 degrees Celsius in June and July. Absolute heaven if, like me, you’re a sun worshipper and love nothing more than a holiday where you can laze on the beach and top up your tan.

With Abruzzo being able to offer such a peaceful, idyllic environment, you will want to make sure your holiday accommodation matches this tranquil setting. One of the best ways to experience Abruzzo is to stay in your own luxury villa. Situated in the peaceful mountainous area, the white sandy beaches and coastline are close by.

Don’t let the UK winter blues bring you down. Now is the perfect time to book your dream getaway to the beautiful, stunning Abruzzo staying in a luxury villa .
