Boulders Beach
You can’t say you’ve visited Cape Town without seeing some of the beautiful coastline on offer, and one of the most popular beaches for locals and tourists alike is Boulders Beach. Stretching out for over 3km just south of Simon’s Town, this beach is as picturesque as they come. Home to hundreds of huge boulders as well as beautiful sandy coves, this beach is also the breeding ground of African penguins – some 3,000 of them!

Africa Café
Although this café is a hot tourist spot, meaning it can get pretty busy during the daytime, it’s still a great place to go if you want to experience the real Cape Town. Not only is it known for serving some of the best African cuisine, but they also have set prices where you can eat as much as you like! The café itself is very spacious, offering a number of themed rooms for you to dine in. Each room represents various iconic moments in South Africa’s history, and it’s recommended that you book a table beforehand.

Kirstenbosche Botanical Gardens
Cape Town is full of romantic and magical places to take a stroll in the warm sun, and the Kirstenbosche Botanical Gardens is an attraction that surely can’t be missed. Thousands of tropical plants, trees, stunning landscapes and even animals are spread across this site’s 500 hectares, much of which overlooks the Cape Flats and False Bay. Way back in the 1600s, a group of French refugees who were shipwrecked on Cape Town, here hired by a local forester to plant some of the first trees in the gardens, and many of them are still standing today!

Signal Hill and Noon Gun
If you’re looking for a view that you’ll never forget in Cape Town, then Signal Hill is the place to be. It’s summit, which is over 350m high, looks out across the city with spectacular results, and the view at night time is even more impressive. From Monday to Sunday, a gun is fired at noon every day from Signal Hill, and it’s a sound that has become iconic in Cape Town. It was traditionally implemented for people to check their watches, however now it’s a social and cultural element of the city that has stood the test of time.
