The New Face Of Boat Lifts

If you enjoy spending time at the lake, then you might have a home away from home in the form of a boat house. While this is often kept in the water, there might be a time when you want to keep it out of the water so that the bottom can be cleaned or if there is a higher level in the river or lake. There are also boat house lifts that simply make it easy to get the home in and out of the water when you want to spend some time in a relaxing environment.

There are a few pieces of new technology to make it easier to lift house boats from the water. These require little effort on your part and are sturdy in design. There is very little noise with new systems as well so that others in the area aren’t bothered. Many units feature a remote device so that all you have to do is press a button even before you are out of the car. When you get to the lift, your boat is already in the water. This also works for when you want to leave. All you have to do is place the boat in the sling and press a button to get the boat out of the water. With the boat in position, it decreases the amount of rust that builds on the bottom.

Lifts can be installed so that the motor of the unit is hidden. This gives a clean look to the area instead of seeing a lot of wires and other equipment associated with the lift. Two marine batteries are used when lifting the boat as well as a hydraulic system. Newer lifts are often faster than older lifts that sometimes require some kind of crank in order to get the boat in and out of the water. You will find that there are various sizes to choose from depending on the size of your house boat. Wooden or metal slats cradle the boat so that it stays in place while you are away from the area.
