People travel for different reasons—some to experience freedom, some for work, some to meet new friends, and some to taste the delicacies of other cultures. These people who travel for food are like gourmet hunters, always on the lookout for something new to quench the curiosity of their taste buds. They try whatever is new for their eyes, nose, and tongue.

If you are one of them, then, here is a list of countries you should visit on your next food travel.
- South Korea
Best known for their high-end gadgets like Samsung, South Korea also offers a wide variety of healthy recipes for everyone. Contrary to what many people think, not all Korean dish is spicy. Yes, even kimchi (there are people who prepare kimchi and make it interesting for those who do not like spicy food). Other than their famous kimchi, you should also try their samgyupsal, bulgogi, odengttang, samttang, kimbap, bibimbap, and many others. It is noteworthy that these dishes are prepared using fresh herbs, meat, and other spices. Very seldom do Koreans use artificial flavors; thus aside from being delicious, these are very healthy as well.
- Belgium
Known for their world famous chocolate, Belgium offers plenty of desserts and other whatnots for chocoholics. Whether for serious eating or simple taste experiments of different chocolate flavors, Belgium is the place for you. Aside from chocolates, Belgium also offers a variety of savory dishes like smoked ham, rabbit in geuze, Eel in a green sauce of mixed herbs, Boudin(a type of sausage in which the meat, or blood, is mixed with fine breadcrumbs), and plenty of luscious and must-try aperitifs.
- England
Many people think that what England offers only includes beans and black pudding (made of blood and guts of cow and/or pig), but they have moved beyond that. From breakfast, lunch, classy afternoon tea, and dinner, England has a wide variety for you to choose from. They have a meal for each time of the day, be it vegetables, seafood, meat, fruits, bread, or whatever that suits your taste and diet.
- Peru
Craving for some exotic food? Then, Peru is the place for you. From fried alpaca to delicious guinea pigs. This might sound yucky to some, but these are a must try. Peru offers a lot more of exotic dishes that you think you cannot try, but when you do, you’ll crave for it sooner or later. Aside from these, they also have fresh passion fruit based food and fresh coco tea and many more. It’s like paradise.
- Malaysia
From rice, meat, seafood, vegetables, mutton, bread, to whatever you can think of, Malaysia has something to offer food travellers. Their geographic location gives their cuisine a great deal of advantage. Their culinary style is a mixture of Malays, Chinese, Indians, Thais, and Arabian cuisines to name a few. This amalgamation resulted in a symphony of flavors, making it highly exotic. These cuisines are actually underrated, so you should go and give these a try.
- Philippines
Though not really famous around the world for their dish, the Philippines offer a great deal of delicious recipes, from seafood, meat, vegetables, and fruits. What’s more, having 7,107 islands, this country offers a great variety of local variation of dishes. Make sure you try their adobo, kare-kare, humba, valenciana, laing, larang, Bicol express, lechon, liempo, and many more. Try to ask the locals for the list of things that you should try because there are plenty of them. And don’t forget their balut (boiled egg with underdeveloped embryo, sounds gruesome but this is a hit).
- Panama
Fritters, main dishes, drinks, dessters—all these can make you go crave more while in your stay in Panama. Their fritters include the famous tortillas, bolos, empanadas, almojabanos, and many more that can make your mouth water. Main dishes usually include rice, but what comes with it makes it more interesting. Their desserts? Bocado de la reina, cabanga, huevitos de leche’, manjar, cocadas, pesada de nance, tres leches to name a few. The list can go on, but it is best that you try al these and know their names by heart.
