Recently I went to England for my Bachelor’s degree from London School of Economics. It was a wonderful experience and the thing which made my stay in UK even more exciting was the traveling that we friends use to do in our semester break. We have been through many exciting locations so when I decided to write upon the top 5 locations to visit in UK I was really confused that which destination I should exclude from my list because each one of them gave me a new kind of experience and excitement. Before I start telling you about these places I want you to keep following rules in your mind while you are traveling to UK.
- Always keep some cash with you, do not always rely on the credit card or plastic money.
- You should always keep your passport with you even if you are traveling with in the same country.
- When you are going to a particular place in UK, you should first be aware of the culture and the lifestyle of people living over there because unlike the people of USA or other countries the English people (especially the old people) are not very open to the foreigners.
- Do not ever try to crack an Irish Joke (which is the hobby of English people) in front of a person about whom you have even a tiny doubt of being Irish.
- Try to avoid the discussion on football while you are traveling in UK because it is a big gamble. You never know that which one is the favorite team of the people whom you are interacting with and if by mistake you have criticized their team then there is not a little chance for you to mingle with these people.
Now let’s start with the list of places to visit in UK.
The Lake District
It is the obvious choice for the people whom love natural sceneries. It is an historic place as well. Lake District is located in the North Western region of England. Being a mountainous terrain the weather of Lake District is very pleasant for the visitors in summers. Even in the winters when most part of the Lake is frozen some tourists and adventurous people come to visit the place and if you are brave enough you can also ski on the frozen layer of the lake.
Oxford
If you are a student (and I just mean student, you don’t have to be a Geek) then you should visit Oxford. It is primarily famous for its illustrious university. The overall architecture of the buildings in the Oxford takes back you to the Saxon and Gothic era. There are some buildings over there which are more than 1000 years old if you are tired with this architecture stuff you can also relax and sooth your mind in the world’s oldest botanical garden in the heart of Oxford.
Snowdonia
Have you ever heard of Snowdonia? It is the most attractive place to visit in the country of Wales. In the famous movie of Clive Owen, “King Arthur”, this was the place that was portrayed in the final battle. It has the tallest mountain in England and the largest natural lake. Whether you are looking for peace or adventure this place can serve you both purposes.
London Eye
If you have some kind of blood pressure problem then this is not your piece of cake, this just for adventure loving persons. This giant wheel gives you the view of almost all of the notable places in London. It is one of the world’s most magnificent modern day structure and if you want to have a look of London in a single go then London’s Eye is certainly the place that you should visit (this is also the reason behind teh name of London’s Eye). At each New Year, a splendid firework show is also inaugurated around the London’s Eye which gives it even a more attractive look.
Madame Tussauds
Madame Tusasauds Museum is the place which is always fully packed with people (especially foreigners). It is among those places which generate the most of the tourism revenue for England. Here you find the statues (after looking them and seeing that how close they are to the real person you would not even call them statue) of the most of your famous celebrities from David Beckham to Lady Gaga. Go and have a new profile picture with your favorite celebrity.
I was really shy in expressing my ideas but the following blog docsity.com really helped me in attaining my confidence. You should have a look on it too. Especially the article on Goa.
