Before your go, you need to make sure that you or your family are covered by proper travel insurance coverage. It’s convenient for Canadians to get their insurance compared online at Kanetix.ca.
Getting to Belize By AirÂ
If you are coming to Belize, you likely are getting there by air. Several airlines fly between Canada and the US to get there, including American Airlines, United Airlines, US airway, TACA, Delta, and Tropic Air. All of these fly into Phillip Goldson International Airport, which is only a short few minutes from your final destination in Belize City.
Proper Planning Makes the Best Vacation Â
Don’t forget that you will need a passport to get into Belize since it is a foreign country. For proper planning you should make sure that your passport is still good for several months after your planned dates of travel and if you don’t have a passport you should apply for one several weeks in advance, as it takes a while at times to get a new one or to renew one. Passports are good for 10 years, so after you get one you are set for your next few trips.
Belize is classically very hot and humid all the time, with December to March being the coolest and May to September being the hottest. Average temperatures are about 10 degrees Celsius so plan according what you bring to wear on the trip. Remember that the rainy season is May to November and the dry season is February to April, with the other months being in-between. December to April is also the high season, which means the hotels are more expensive, which is another thing to consider before making your trip plans final.
