Costa Blanca refers to the 220 km stretch along the Mediterranean coastline of Spain in the Alicante province. Alicante
Just a short distance from a number of beaches the fantastic year round climate makes Costa Blanca’s Alicante a superb choice for any sun enthusiast. Get to these beaches by foot, bus or tram and have a look at the super sandy coves on offer. If lounging in your bikini for the day isn’t your ideal holiday, maybe a trip to one of Alicante’s museums is up your street. The Museo de Arte Contémporaneo de Alicante (MACA) located in the magnificent Casa de la Asegurada was renovated and reopened having been shut down for several years. Boasting a supreme collection of Spanish art including the work of  DalÃ, Miró, Chillida, Sempere, Tà pies and Picasso it is a must see for any visitor.
Santa Pola Salt Lakes
Traditionally known as a fishing village and a tourist hub, Santa Pola is probably best known for its National Park holding the Salt Lakes of Santa Pola covering an area of 2,570 hectares. Approximately 125 years ago the production of salt began here. With magnificently constructed dams and dikes the high tided flooded area was divided into several salt pans. Up to 30,000 tons of salt are now produced annually. Even when travelling by car the view is still as breathtaking, indulge your eyes over the salt pans, marshes and ponds on either side of the road. Not your typical holiday retreat, but something different that we would highly recommend. Costa Blanca has something for everyone!
La Marina
Costa Blanca’s La Marina is situated just a 20 minute drive south of Alicante Airport. Proudly home to the sandy blue flag La Marina beach that stretches 11 miles, it is a tourist paradise. Every Thursday and Sunday La Marina plays host to the bi- weekly market. Why not have a look around and pick up a home-made souvenir from your travels? If you are looking for something historical to keep you entertained, a trip to the Archaeological Museum in San Fulgencio is a must.
